Who runs the project
Banana Skins is independently published by Ciarán Paul Roche. It is an entertainment and research-style personal project, not an academic study, public service, social network or professional advice service. Using or sharing it does not create a client, confidential, fiduciary or other professional relationship.
Personal sharing is welcome
You may use the provided sharing tools to send a Banana Skin to friends, family members or colleagues for personal, non-commercial use. You may also quote a Banana Skin in an ordinary personal message or post with a link back to its dated page.
Keep the experiment honest
Do not automate votes, deliberately submit duplicate votes, scrape or repackage the candidate bank, manipulate results, disrupt the service or test its security without permission. Ordinary personal sharing is welcome; manufacturing a crowd is not.
Humor and ownership
Humor is subjective. Banana Skins does not promise that every joke will work—or that any particular attempt is funny. AI-written short comic ideas may resemble something independently created elsewhere. Banana Skins does not claim that every short joke is legally unique.
The Banana Skins name, original artwork, site design and longer written material remain protected to the extent the law provides.
Share with judgment
You are responsible for deciding whether a joke is appropriate for its recipient and setting. Do not use the site to harass, threaten, deceive, discriminate, impersonate another person or violate privacy, intellectual-property or other rights. Do not send sensitive personal information through a share message merely because this site made the sharing button easy to reach.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available” and may change, pause or contain an occasional mistake. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no warranty is made about availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Ciarán Paul Roche and Banana Skins are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss arising from use, sharing or inability to use the site. Nothing excludes liability or a mandatory consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law and changes
These website terms are governed by Pennsylvania law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, while mandatory rights where you live remain unaffected. If one part cannot be enforced, the rest continues. A revised effective date will identify future changes.
